Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcome 1:
Learners will be able to identify key biological processes, explore the genetic blueprint of trees, and explain how natural influences and tree physiology impact pruning decisions.
Learning Outcome 2:
Learners will be able to analyze the biomechanical aspects of trees, such as load dynamics, damping, and thigmomorphogenesis, and how these factors inform pruning and training practices.
Learning Outcome 3:
Learners will be able to utilize ANSI A300 guidelines and industry best management practices (BMPs) to determine appropriate pruning doses and techniques while addressing client demands and aesthetic considerations.
Learning Outcome 4:
Learners will be able to develop a training plan for young trees, focusing on structural development, growth direction, and long-term health.
