1. Base and Sub-Base Preparation

Learners will be able to analyze site conditions, apply proper grading and compaction techniques, and design drainage solutions that minimize the risk of trail failure.

2. Installation and Quality Control

Learners will be able to compare traditional, stabilized, and wax-coated installation methods, select appropriate equipment and labor strategies, and evaluate quality control measures (e.g., moisture content, layering, rolling) using standardized checklists.

3. Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Case Application

Learners will be able to diagnose installation errors such as poor drainage or overwatering fines, develop maintenance plans tailored to aggregate type, and interpret case studies to distinguish between unsuccessful and successful trail projects.
