Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcome 1:
Learners will be able to define and characterize urban forests and explain how they differ from natural forests, why the differences are important, and the benefits of trees in urban settings.
Learning Outcome 2:
Learners will be able to recreate essential conditions for tree survival by utilizing the key environmental factors of the urban forest: soil, water, and sunlight.
Learning Outcome 3:
Learners will be able to involve the community in urban forest design and creation, educate stakeholders, dispel myths, and stop poor practices.
Learning Outcome 4:
Learners will be able to discuss the science and standards behind tree care, craft a plan for follow-up care and maintenance, and explore the related tools and technology.
