Description
Once upon a time, technology meant construction technology, and it was the foundation of preparing construction documents and building projects. Ironically, digital technology has been embraced in design, but has yet to be fully utilized in how we document our landscapes and transmit our ideas to contractors and fabricators.

Learning Outcomes
Inform designers about what information is most useful for contractors during the construction process.; Discuss various ways to document projects using digital tools to improve on-the-ground outcomes.; Demonstrate ideas for streamlining the documentation process to attend to the needs and processes of construction.; Explain the differences and opportunities inherent in different contracting structures such as Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, and tenders.
