Description
This six-hour presentation examines urban hydrology principles, the difference between separate and combined storm sewer systems, stormwater regulations and modeling, green stormwater infrastructure, separate storm sewer system design, and city-scale strategic stormwater planning.

Learning Outcome 1:
Learners will be able to discuss the principles of urban hydrology and differentiate separate stormwater systems and combined stormwater/wastewater sewer systems.
Learning Outcome 2:
Learners will be able to locate and reference local municipal stormwater regulation and assist with stormwater modeling.
Learning Outcome 3:
Learners will be able to participate in the design of a separate storm sewer system by understanding drainage patterns, locating and spacing inlets and manholes, gutter designs, and material selection.
