Description
This presentation is primarily directed towards professionals who design and specify engineered pavement systems. Whether the paver application is for a civic plaza, condominium drop off
area, roadway or a large, heavy-duty industrial yard, this presentation covers the basic requirements necessary to achieve a successful system. Beginning with the proper design for the various applications is the essential starting point. Design methodology, industry standard resources and useful tools are explained. Performance capabilities such as H-loading and HS-loading along with acceptable aspect ratios are covered. Additionally specifying the correct materials, designing laying patterns conducive for the intended use and proven installation techniques are examined. Paver
manufacturing has evolved significantly in the last few decades. New concrete paver shapes, sizes and textures are highlighted. Several local examples of successful systems with typical cross-sections and potential pitfalls are provided throughout. Using the discussed information will add value and insure a better, more durable long lasting project.
