Description
This course is intended to bring the discussion of trees and their part in the fight against climate change to a simple level that LAs can discuss with their municipal clients using the 3-30-300 Rule. Two case studies are discussed; one in Ohio and the other in Texas, where LEED and SITES based development has vastly improved these neighborhoods. These provide valuable lessons that landscape architects can take away and implement in their own neighborhoods and projects. The importance of using native vegetation is also emphasized.
