Description
This course supports landscape architects in integrating weather-protective covered outdoor spaces using fabrics and membranes into projects of different typologies. The course discusses various types of fabric structures and reviews applications, fabric shaping, and materials.

Weather-protective covered outdoor spaces provide various health benefits to users, such as lowering average temperature, UV protection, and elevating outdoor space accessibility. Tensile structures elevate outdoor space value while having a remarkably low carbon footprint compared to traditional building methods. This reduced environmental impact by design and material innovations make fabric structures a compelling choice for landscape architects.
