Description
This presentation by landscape architect Lulu Loquidis will highlight four basic principles that underpin the approach of LAA Office, a multi-disciplinary design studio based in Columbus, Ind., that explores the space between landscape, art, and architecture. The presentation will provide an overview of the studio’s current projects in small cities across Southern Indiana, which focus on synthesizing public art and public space design.

Lulu Loquidis is a registered landscape architect, co-founder of LAA Office, and adjunct professor at Indiana University's J. Irwin Miller Architecture?Program.?As a designer and project leader for international practices, including?Hargreaves Associates and AECOM, she has built a diverse portfolio including gardens, streetscapes, urban plazas, pocket parks, and public art. She believes that contemporary landscape architecture establishes a crucial hinge between the environment, art, and human culture. Her current work focuses on transforming underutilized spaces through art and design to enhance social life and enliven communities.
