Description
This session will provide an overview of various methods used in grading and surveying within sports construction, tailored to a beginner to intermediate level. Topics will include setting up grade lasers, understanding slope and elevation, utilizing control points and benchmarks, 2D grading for tracks, fields, and courts, UTS grading and model building, transferring elevations from drawings to the site, and base level calculations for slope and elevation.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will gain general knowledge of elevations and surveying concepts, particularly as they relate to managing vertical and horizontal control on jobsites within the field.
Participants will learn key survey terminology used in the industry, enabling them to effectively communicate and understand the processes involved in surveying and elevation management.
Participants will be introduced to the various methods and equipment used to establish accurate benchmarks, perform survey layouts, and conduct grading activities on jobsites.
