Description
This advanced seven-hour course dives deep into HEC-RAS modeling for design professionals. Topics of focus include the following: one-dimensional steady flow, unsteady one-dimensional open channel hydraulics, two-dimensional open channel hydraulics, and GIS basics. The course also includes numerous live demonstrations on building an unsteady 1D HEC-RAS model, a basic 2D model, a 2D model with connections and explores other considerations.

Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able to build a basic 2D HEC-RAS Model using the RASMapper interface and 2D geometry.
Learners will be able to build unsteady 1D HEC-RAS models both with and without GIS.
Learners will be able to build a 2D HEC-RAS model with connections and utilize 2D computational simulations.
Learners will be able to understand and discuss GIS basics: raster vs. vector files, ArcMap interface, and more.
