Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcome 1:
Learners will be able to assess the different types of slope movement and instability, including rock falls and rockslides, translational and rotational failures, debris flows and rapidly moving landslides.

Learning Outcome 2:
Learners will be able to adopt a variety of slope stabilization methods such as the use of vegetation, buttressing, reinforcement, drainage, and earth retention structures.

Learning Outcome 3:
Learners will be able to define and identify the elements of landslide hazard risk and utilize proper risk-reduction strategies.

Learning Outcome 4:
Learners will be able to analyze a variety of case studies related to landslide mitigation, such as slope stabilization using retaining walls, mitigating rockfall, and stabilizing slopes using earthworks.
