Description
This six-hour course references and discusses industrial stormwater laws and regulations, analyzes pollutants and total maximum daily loads (TMDLs), reviews stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), evaluates best management practices and examines monitoring and reporting procedures.

Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcome 1:
Learners will be able to examine stormwater pollutants, including suspended solids, oxygen-demanding substances, excess nutrients, metals and other common pollutants, and the development of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs).

Learning Outcome 2:
Learners will be able to describe a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) and comply with stormwater control measure requirements, provide assessment of activities and materials, describe the facility.

Learning Outcome 3:
Learners will be able to implement best management practices to achieve "no exposure," as well as to treat and reuse stormwater.

Learning Outcome 4:
Learners will be able to engage in monitoring and reporting by setting up monitoring procedures, collecting and evaluating samples, submitting annual reports and modifying BMPs.
