Expanding BIM Beyond Buildings

Start Date

End Date

Description
The practice of BIM is gradually expanding far beyond the boundaries of the building. In the past few years, we see more landscape architects, and urban designers transitioning to BIM technology, a shift that’s affecting the entire industry, in a very positive way. As landscape professionals, we play the main role in this expansion, leading our discipline into the world of BIM, and becoming an integral part of the AEC industry.

In this session, you will have the opportunity to see use cases from real-life projects that demonstrate the remarkable results we can achieve when using the right tools in landscape architecture, and how we can successfully incorporate BIM into all facets of our projects – indoors and outdoors.

We will explore how BIM beyond buildings is taking place in projects of different scales and types, and you’ll exit the other end of the session wanting to BIM just about anything.
