Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcome 1:
Learners will be able to understand the science and benefits of stormwater infiltration, such as reduced stormwater volume and peak flow and improved stormwater quality, as well as NPDES and state stormwater management requirements.

Learning Outcome 2:
Learners will be able to understand soil and water science, including the types of soils, soil characteristics, impact of water on soils, and how water moves through soils.

Learning Outcome 3:
Learners will be able to define and measure stormwater infiltration, utilize infiltration surfaces, and select appropriate soils, plants and materials.

Learning Outcome 4:
Learners will be able to improve infiltration with Low Impact Development techniques, including bio-retention cells, pervious pavements, vegetated filter strips, wetlands and reuse.

Learning Outcome 5:
Learners will be able to analyze stormwater infiltration case studies to determine appropriate and effective techniques.
