This course examines a variety of matters that affect landscape architects, including national resource protection laws, state and federal contamination laws, land use laws and regulations, barrier-free requirements in outdoor spaces, and pollinator habitat.

Learners will be able to reference and understand compliance standards for laws protecting wetlands, floodplains, criticl areas, and endanaged species.

Learners will be able to reference and understand compliance standards for laws contamination discovery for soils and groundwater.

Learners will be able to comply with land use laws and regulations.

Learners will be able to comply with barrier-free requirements for outdoor spaces.

Learners will be able to identify and describe methods to create pollinator habitat by providing food and nesting sites and by reducing the use of pesticides.
