Description
The purpose of this webinar is to provide you with a brief history of the origins of the railway and to introduce you to the basic techniques used to create modern track alignments. By the end of the webinar, you should have understood:
• How railway tracks were developed from simple wagon ways to modern trackforms.
• The types of geometry elements used in track alignment - and how these are connected.
• How to use perform simple alignment calculations.
• The need for design limits to provide safe and comfortable track systems.
• How to use the design limits and alignment geometry to calculate the safe speed limits for trains.

Includes one-hour Lab for real projects applications.
