Description
This seven-hour live lecture presentation examines the applications for hydraulic analysis in the context of watershed studies, stormwater management, flood models, and stream flow assessment. It studies hydrological principles, the HEC-RAS software application user interface, building a small-scale and a large-scale watershed, model output, and other applications in HEC-HMS.

Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able identify applications for hydrologic analysis, including watershed studies, stormwater management and regional flood modeling.

Learners will be able to apply hydrologic principles to watershed modeling, such as an understanding of the hydrologic cycle and the methodology of watershed deliniation.

Learners will be able to identify the information necessary to build a small-scale watershed model using the U.S. Army Corps’ HEC-HMS watershed modeling software.

Learners will be able to apply watershed modeling techniques to other projects, including dam breach analysis, irrigation design and flood analysis.
