Learning Outcomes
Through this session participants will learn the main areas of controversy identified by the public during the environmental permitting process for a project containing both natural grass and synthetic turf fields;
how these controversial points were addressed through design and specification of the particular systems;
and how implementation of third-party independent testing of the specified systems for PFAS, PFOS, heavy metals, nitrogen, SVOC’s and other natural and man-made elements paired with a reasonable assessment of potential human health and environmental impacts associated with the proposed natural grass and synthetic turf field systems provided the information necessary to gain approvals of the project.
