Develop awareness of the relationship between stormwater planning and related legal issues. The goal of this presentation is to enable community leaders, engineers and stormwater professionals to be aware of the interplay between complex stormwater planning and related legal issues. By becoming aware of these issues, attendees can make more informed choices that will benefit their communities. Participants will gain an understanding of the multiple sources and regulators of water law in Ohio, including the common law property and tort doctrines, local authority, state regulation and federal jurisdiction.
