Learning Outcomes
Learning Objective 1:
Participants will be able to observe an architectural or urban setting, when visiting a work site or engaged on a study trip, and be able to quickly evaluate critical compositional elements.

Learning Objective 2:
Participants will be able to efficiently apply hand rendering techniques, when producing an architectural study sketch, to vividly capture to character of the design being observed.

Learning Objective 3:
Participants will be able to describe the critical aspects of observational architectural travel sketching and painting techniques of leading practitioners, when preparing for an architectural study excursion, to be able to select the techniques most appropriate for the task at hand.

Learning Objective 4:
Participants will be able to select a viewpoint and arrange compositional elements, when composing a study sketch, to express the essential qualities of the subject at hand.
