Webinar Information
This presentation will give a brief overview of both Golden Gate Park and the San Francisco Botanical Gardens history. In addition, a brief overview will be given of the world class plant collection that includes plants from every corner of the planet. The presentation will highlight many species of unique plants that can be grown in the San Francisco climate that features mild winters and summers leading to a “goldilocks” growing environment for many plants. Finally, an overview of the recently completed Celebration Garden will be presented that features a grove of the tallest palm species in the world. Finally, some time will be allowed for questions from participants.
