This course delves into the strategy to develop a communitywide bicycle plan by taking into consideration the 5 E's of bicycling (engineering, education, encourahement, evaluation and planning, and equity), public engagement, implementation and funding, and inclusion of non-human powered devices and walking.

Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able to identify and explain the 5's of undertaking a bicycling master plan effort: engineering (what should be done), education (what's the marking means), encouragement (determining who wants to ride), evaluation and planning (results and future planning), and equity (who benefitted).

Learners will be able to explain how to engage the public i forming a strong bicycling plan.

Learners will be able to discuss implementation strategies and securing funding for bicycle paths.

Learners will be able to discuss other considerations when developing bicyle plan, including whether to, and how to, include e-scooters, e-bicycles, and pedestrians.
