Description
Updated for 2020 using recent drainage enhancement projects, this webinar will focus on the low impact development (LID) principals, methods, and materials of site drainage including utilizing the landscape to capture and treat storm water runoff.

The webinar will provide guidance on how to:
• Read grading and drainage plans
• Create and install functioning drainage systems
• Incorporate unique design elements in a drainage installation
• Utilize drainage systems to protect and benefit ecosystems from site to sea

The webinar will review drainage solutions that can be constructed in the field and those that are available prefabricated from different manufacturers. Greg will also provide basic instruction on indispensable grading and layout tools for the landscape contractor such as a builder's level / transit, rotary laser levels, and high accuracy GPS equipment.

Recent Southern California case studies will be reviewed to display the effective role the landscape design can play in capturing, holding, and treating storm water runoff.
