Learning Outcomes
1. Landscape architects will learn the importance of understanding the CRZ (critical root zone) of trees and how to protect it during construction activities around trees.
2. Practical methods of identifying, repairing and preventing soil compaction will be discussed so that landscape architects can minimize this problem on their projects.
3. Six types of mulching treatments are explained so landscape architects can make intelligent decisions to promote healthy tree growth, especially in urban areas.
