Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able to identify construction practices that minimize site disturbance, preserve native vegetation, and mitigate disturbed areas.

Learners will be able to identify erosion and sediment best practices, including seeding, use of geotextiles, chemical soil stabilization, use of buffer zones, and stream bank protection, stabilization and repair.

Learners will be able to identify erosion and sediment best practices, including earthen dikes, drainage swales, pipe drains, subsurface drains, silt fences, berms and check dams.

Learners will be able to describe the effectiveness of sediment traps and sediment basins as a means to prevent erosion and sedimentation, and they will be able to calculate flow rates and capacity.
