Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able to identify the causes of river degradation and the impacts of human activity, and they will be able to explain how stream flow rates are measured.

Learners will be able to discuss the principles of geomorphology, including channel evolution, stream hydraulics, and stream ecology.

Learners will be able to describe the processes and techniques for assessing and restoring streams, including in-stream structures, streambank reconstruction, planform reconstruction, and buffer revegetation.

Learners will be able to describe design considerations for stream restoration, including site preparation, erosion and sediment control, managing invasive species, and riparian restoration.
