Engineering a Low Voltage Lighting System
Free to All
Many designers will only design a fixture placement plan when it comes to landscape lighting. This course will teach designers and landscape architects the fundamentals of low voltage design. We will discuss how to safely and properly size wire, transformers and safe wiring methods. When then get past the idea that “we are not electricians” and teach participants that engineering a system not only helps with a complete lighting design, we don’t have to rely on others in order to design a complete plan
Energy Conservation / Renewable Energy
Health, Safety and Welfare
1. Participants will learn how to properly design a low voltage lighting system that is constructible.
2. Participants will learn proper fixture placement and wire design.
3. Participants will learn how to calculate voltage drop and in turn proper wire and transformer sizing.
