This online session will cover a series of “ecological process based” management procedures that reduce time, inputs, and negative environmental effects often associated with maintaining planted and wild landscapes.

Learning Outcomes
1) Gain familiarity with an “ecological process” based approach to landscape management that reduces the labor and materials required to achieve and preserve the designers’ intent.
2) Understand maintenance techniques that can reduce negative environmental effects associated with maintaining planted and wild landscapes.
3) Learn short-term management techniques to achieve a desired vegetative goal, followed by less intensive long-term management techniques once this goal has been achieved.
4) Learn techniques for communicating management protocols to clients, employees, and maintenance contractors.
