Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able identify characteristics of soils that impact construction, including soil structure, subsurface soils and the presence of water in soils.

Learners will be able to implement best management practices for managing stormwater on construction sites, including sediment traps and basins, buffer zones and drainage control systems.

Learners will be able to adopt earthwork safety practices when working on excavations and underground installations.

Learners will be able to develop site plans for construction projects, including plans for soil testing, water management, grading, staking and paving.
