Description
The ultimate goal of this course is to understand the mechanisms in facilitating construction of an irrigation system that the Owner or End-User can operate easily for plant health and water efficiency. This presentation is not about water efficiency, per se, but rather about the process of building a manageable irrigation system.
By outlining the goals for construction during the design phase and adhering to an approved timeline and construction sequence, many of the common mistakes in irrigation construction can be avoided.
Irrigation systems are mechanical and electrical system that require specialized technicians and a coordinated effort between other tradespeople. Coordinating utilities in the design phase and during construction will make or break a project.
Finally, irrigation controls, like other appliances, are internet-ready for remote access. Planning a post-construction management plan through internet and automatic management for assigned personnel to review and be notified of problems is the key to decades of healthy plants and water efficiency.
