Learning Outcomes
1.) Learn how the landscape design team imagined and created the varied design ideas of the uniquely themed campuses of Epic Systems with CEO Judy Faulkner. Then, review steps on how the team solved obstacles and challenges such as planting in shallow soils over buildings, tunnels and parking garages, as well as widely varied microclimates.
2.) Identify many plants – trees, shrubs and perennials - that were especially useful in creating the look and feel of the themed gardens as well as learning specifics of what was done to adapt these plants to the conditions of the site.
3.) Analyzation of the design plan to explain how the team worked to plant more sustainable gardens in lieu of Kentucky bluegrass lawns typical of corporate America.
