Learning Outcomes
Learners will be able to describe green design elements for building envelopes, including vegetated green roofs, living walls, stormwater planters, plants, engineered soils, and drainage components.

Learners will be able to explain the ecological, environmental, and commercial value of green infrastructure, including pollution control, CO2 sequestration, mitigating urban heating and cooling, urban agriculture, rooftop farming, increased value and marketability, and stormwater management.

Learners will be able to discuss the social and human element of green infrastructure, including the biophilic effects, including stress reduction, appreciation of life, feeling of well-being, heath.

Learners will be able to discuss with project owners the financial return on investment for undertaking a green building envelope project, taking into consideration initial cost, stormwater management, increased real estate assessment, and marketability/value upon resale.
