Description
Through exploring the amazing houses of the Hamptons – attendees will travel through a window to the past to see how people lived and how they related to architecture. Mr. Lawrance will give an illustrated view into the great summer resort homes that made the Hamptons one of the premier examples of glamour, luxury and architectural achievement. Houses to be discussed include: Wooldon Manor; Black Point, Bayberry Land, The du Ponts’ Chestertown House, Red Maples, and The Orchard, one of Stanford White’s last great commissions.

Developing the ability to address a client’s needs through creating architecture that enhances end users’ sense of comfort and well-being is as necessary today as it was 100 years ago.
