Description
Avalon is an ULI award winning 86-acre mixed-use project located in Alpharetta, Ga. Phase One opened in 2014 to rave reviews, Phase Two in 2017, and the final office component is scheduled to be completed in 2019. This case study will examine the design processes put in place, the collaboration necessary between the landscape architect, master architect, civil engineer, the political forces at work, and the programming necessary to create vibrant energetic exterior spaces that draw people in and have made Avalon “more than a place to go, but a place to be.”
