Description
This webinar discusses how to specify and select quality nursery stock. This is one of the most critical aspects when putting a tree in the urban environment. This webinar will discuss different problems below the soil line, not just what you see above the ground. The structure of tree roots are impacted not just by species but also by nursery growing. J Roots, too deep, kinked/circling roots, not pruned roots, and container grown root issues are discussed. This webinar will also review ways to specify trees by the qualities shown above ground, and will illustrate why this is important. These tree qualities are then discussed in related to creating specifications and key points within planting specifications.
