Learners will be able to reference National Pollution Discharge Elimination Discharge System and State Pollution Discharge Elimination Discharge System rules and regulations, identify new regulation changes, and discuss inspection and management protocols.

Learners will be able to identify and describe causes of erosion and explain the importance of vegetation and other practices to minimize site disturbance and erosion.

Learners will be able to identify, describe, and explain applications for numerous structural best management practices to prevent erosion and control sedimentation.

Learners will be able to explain the purpose, application, and design considerations for sediment traps and sediment basins, and they will be able to discuss green engineering techniques for stabilizing streambanks and shorelines.
