Compost in Various Applications

Start Date
09/10/2018
End Date

Description
In order to understand how and why compost should play such an important role in soil specifications, we teach participants about compost in a general sense and work through technical information. We use this general and technical information to compare to other soil amendments. Once everyone has a clear understanding of how compost works we turn to project examples to apply that knowledge to the field. We can then focus on specific application rates and how these applications will affect the soils on a chemical/biological/physical standpoint. This will help participants learn how to best incorporate compost into their projects in order to ensure project success!
