Description
After discussing the technical and historical context, exploring existing policies, and emphasizing the importance of equity in sustainability, the conference would like to look ahead to how designers and planners can lead the charge to achieve a carbon neutral city. This session invites practitioners from each organizations to share their professional experience and their vision for designers and planners to continue their effort in creating sustainable and resilience designs and policies.

Learning Outcomes
1)Participants will learn about how their work as designers and planners can support efforts towards creating a more sustainable city that is inclusive of all people.
2)Participants will gain an understanding of the unique ways that carbon pollution affects housing sectors, transportation, and environmental planning.
3)Attendees will be informed of current City programs and the advocacy efforts of non-profits, which will help inform design and planning efforts.
