Description
Three speakers will provide the science of carbon pollution in an urban context. In addition they will present information on the background of carbon related policies in urban environments and carbon reduction practices at different scales. Subjects will include the built & natural environment, transportation, carbon, and neighborhood planning.

Learning Outcomes
1)Participants will understand the technical and historical context of carbon pollution, carbon emission reduction methods and measurements.
2)Participants will understand about the quantitative and qualitative framework used to create policies and design for a carbon neutral city.
3)Professionals will gain a comprehensive understanding about the problems associated with carbon emissions, and learn some of the technical knowledge that can help them evaluate carbon emissions within the realm of their professional practice.
