Pierre S. du Pont’s country estate is a masterpiece of organic landscape design with a rich legacy of stewardship and extraordinary beauty in its 1,083 acres of horticultural displays. Attendees will enjoy an expert-led walk of the grounds with behind-the-scenes access to production facilities. Explore the 86-acre meadow garden, 10-acre solar field, and the newly revitalized main fountain garden, all while learning about Longwoods’ commitment to design excellence, social integrity, sustainability, land stewardship, and preservation. This field session will include time on your own to enjoy all that Longwood has to offer.

Learn about the soil structure and stormwater management techniques implemented during the main fountain garden revitalization.
