Description
This session documents the transformation of a distressed public housing project into a town center. The open spaces are designed to reflect sustainability with style, with contemporary landscape elements that are ecologically effective. The SITES tool is a basis of design and is a driver of the placemaking elements.

1. Learn how the housing project became so dangerous that it had to be demolished and how a new vision arose from the community for its reuse. 2. Hear about the planning strategy for SITES rating and the evolution of the points capturing process. 3.
