Description
Designers and photography enthusiasts work with professionals in the field to enhance the way they capture images of landscapes. This walking field session follows projects along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and includes hands-on instruction for photographing the urban realm. Images from session participants will be displayed in ASLA Central.

Learning Outcomes
1. Review camera settings and get hands on instruction on how to navigate specific camera modes while shooting in the field 2. Through the use of composition, light, and depth of field, learn how to both highlight plantings in the landscape and also photograph people engaging with the built environment 3. Get insight into what magazine publishers are looking for in regards to range of imagery 4. Learn how to capture images that support a project’s narrative and learn about the specific design intent of the field session sites
