Learning Outcomes
1. Gain insight on the value of urban sketching as an application in landscape architecture and discover how group sketching can benefit the creative design process that can be transferred into the studio environment.

2. Review and discuss strategies for sketching quickly and learn to reduce sometimes complex and complicated scenes into more simplified, yet recognizable representations.

3. Discuss strategies for creating interesting views that capture the essence/energy of a place in an otherwise static sketchbook and learn ways to capture a collection of sequential spaces to tell the story of your walk through town.
