Learners will be able to explain the concepts and applications of mechanically stabilized earth walls, describe MSEW, also known as MSE walls, design properties, and explain the application of MSEWs.

Learners will be able to identify design elements and considerations for MSEWs, including lateral earth pressure, external stability, internal stability, and global stability.

Learners will be able to describe the construction process of MSE walls, including contracting methods and specifications.

Learners will be able to discuss quality assurance methods for MSEWs and how they are geotechnically monitored.
