A student’s internship experience can be the difference between staying in the green industry and fleeing for other career opportunities. The need for qualified trained employees is so great, that alternative methods for finding and keeping employees is daunting. Hiring and keeping Career and Technical students can be a successful endeavor by addressing their unique scheduling issues. Resisting the need to keep these interns out in the field yet encouraging them to continue their education establishes employer/employee loyalty.
