Description
This lecture will provide insight on logistics in the horticulture industry. Coordinating truck load shipments can be very costly and challenging at times, this presentation will identify and discuss ways for both vendors and customers to achieve solutions in routing freight. In 2018, we experienced the effects of the Electronic Logging Device mandate, a governmental regulation that has put very rigid limitations on a truck driver’s hours of service. This talk will outline the basics of the ELD Mandate, and is aimed to help the audience gain perspective on how to be prepared for truck load shipping in 2019.
