Track Striping Certification, Level 3 and Level 4
Anyone registered for the meeting can attend the session.
This session will review the five classes of track verification. Class I and Class II will be discussed very briefly as an introduction only; with the emphasis of this session on the Class III and Class IV verification/certification process.
Health, Safety and Welfare
Through this session, the participants will gain an understanding of the differences between the IAAF certification system versus the marking and slope verification, the marking verification and the certificate of accuracy. In the process, the purpose of the documents and the relevant parameters of the sport will be discussed. The differentiation in both timing and reporting with respect to slope and measurement for the Class III shall be followed up with a measurement report for the Class IV markings certification. The layout for each will be discussed and examples provided with respect to the track oval (both before painting and after painting). The same will be true for the event layout (both before painting and after painting) for both III and IV certification. There will be a differentiation made with respect to the governing bodies as they apply to each certification as well.
