Indoor Sports Flooring (Types, Application Methods, Evaluation Different Systems)
Anyone registered for the meeting can attend the session.
Indoor sport floors are not “one-size-fits-all”. This session provides an overview of various indoor sport floors from the buyer’s perspective. How can we help facility owners decide what the best system will be for their needs?
Health, Safety and Welfare
Through this session, the participant will have a better understanding of three types of indoor sport floors; their advantages and disadvantages (point elastic, area elastic, combined elatic); knowledge of ASTM's indoor sports flooring standard written for the US market that addresses safety and performance factors such as shock absorption, ball bounce, vertical deflection and coefficient of friction (COF); additional requirements of sports floors that may be utilized for multi-sport use and/or multi-purpose use; common installation problems, such as excessive concrete moisture levels and uneven concrete substrate surfaces.
