Smart lighting is simply using lighting in a more intelligent way. Rather than being controlled by a traditional light switch, smart lighting connects to the internet and is controlled by a customer’s mobile device or desktop. With the transition to LED lighting systems for courts, we are able to integrate wireless control options that offer lighting system management, enhanced quality of lighting, substantial energy savings, and code compliance.
Health, Safety and Welfare
Through this session, the participant will come away with an understanding of these smart lighting control concepts: Zoning - Assign individual fixtures to control zones; Scheduling - Scheduling capabilities affect the operation of the lights based on time of day or specified events; Motion Detection - Motion sensors alter the operation of light fixtures in response to movement; Remote and Local Access - The control system can be managed from any device with an internet connection (mobile phone, tablet) to easily monitor & adjust lighting controls to maximize energy savings; Energy Monitoring - The control system identifies energy usage information to drive conservation & cost savings; Ease of Installation - Traditional control systems require wiring to run from each fixture to an electrical box.
